The organizer does not allow Athletes to run on the race course if they break the rules, laws, and relevant orders. In case participants do not follow these disciplines, they might be disqualified or forbidden to join the race.
1. Athletes must arrive at the start line before the time, according to their registered distance.
2. Athletes must enter the release block shown on bib number. If Athletes do not follow this instruction, it shall be considered as violating the rules.
3. Athletes must start running according to their registered start time. Starting after 15 minutes shall be considered violating the rules, and participants shall be disqualified from the race.
4. Bib numbers must be adhered to Athletes ’ chests so that they can be seen clearly. Athletes without bib numbers presented are not allowed.
5. Athletes must run along the race course (following the arrows, ribbons, and signs/direction symbols). Do not use shortcuts.
6. Assistance to Athletes can be done at water station only. Athletes are not allowed to have followers or assistance on course.
7. Do not dress or carry any devices that can harm other Athletes.
8. Do not dress inappropriately as it might cause uncomfortable feelings to other Athletes or spectators. Impolite or obscene outfits; showing political attitudes; disparaging religions or beliefs; advertising products; or disseminating propagandas, for instance.
9. Do not use equipment/devices or sounds that make others misunderstood that they starting signal.
10. Do not perform any actions that bring about delays of the race or obstruct Athletes to reach the finish line.
11. Stop or yield to to emergency vehicles or assistance personnel.
12. Follow instructions of referees and marshals strictly.
13. The judgment of the race is grounded on Gun Time System (time from the starting signal) for competitors in the Overall Male & Female categories, and Net/Chip Time for competitors in the Age Groups Male & Female categories, using a Timing Chip to record time. Checkpoints will be verified.
14. Athletes receiving awards must present their ID cards, any official cards issued by government agencies with id numbers and photos, or passports in order to obtain awards before deadlines; otherwise, they shall be disqualified from the receipt of awards.
15. Other unidentified rules shall refer to those regulated by A.A.T.
16. The judge’s opinion is considered final.
17. Athletes may appeal the competition results by submitting a request to the technical committee of the organizing committee within 30 minutes. The appealing athlete must pay a security deposit of 3,500 Baht (or 100 USD), which will be refunded if the appeal is successful. The organizing committee will not refund the security deposit if the appeal is unsuccessful.
18. In case athletes wish to complain about other matters not related to the competition results (if any), they must submit a written document via email to cim@Chiangmaiinternationalmarathon within 7 days from the date the competition ends. The organizing committee reserves the right to make the final decision in all cases. The decision of the organizing committee is final.
19. Photographs, motion pictures, audio recordings, articles, and competition statistics are copyrighted by the organizer and may be disseminated through various media such as newspapers, the internet, television, magazines, etc. Athletes may use their own photographs, motion pictures, and audio recordings without permission. The organizer does not permit the commercial use of photographs and motion pictures of the event and competition.

21. The organizer reserves the right not to refund registration fees and/or any related service fees in case of cancellation and/or postponement of the competition due to uncontrollable reasons such as natural disasters, protests, floods, or accidents occurring before the event, etc.
